About Our Company
Our objective is to help our customers save labor and make money on projects using THE TIE BRICK®!
THE TIE BRICK®, Inc. is headquartered in Pensacola, FL. It was developed and patented as an innovative concrete rebar support due to problems observed during the placement of concrete using traditional supports. One problem was workers walking on the steel and it popping loose from the support, or the support bending or turning over. Another problem was the need to purchase different height chairs, few of which were able to handle very large steel mat loads.
The engineer owner set about designing and making a multi-functional single rebar support that could satisfy the problems. The result was THE TIE BRICK®. It is stable enough to walk on the steel. It is tied to the steel so it does not pop loose nor bend or turn over. It can handle large loads and it can provide multiple support heights from a single TIE BRICK®.
About THE TIE BRICK®
Created in Pensacola, FL, THE TIE BRICK® is providing an innovative new take on concrete construction. THE TIE BRICK® is made from concrete, the same material as the slab or foundation, and replaces wire or plastic chairs and standard support units. THE TIE BRICK® is often used in National Cemeteries for the foundations of grave markers, saving both material and labor.
It is a great alternative to traditional rebar supports, one that workers can walk on. THE TIE BRICK® allows rebar to stay in place without bending, falling off the support, or sinking into the soil, such as plastic or wire chairs or standard concrete bricks typically do. Each TIE BRICK® is manufactured with a hole in the center of each support unit, allowing a tie wire to be inserted through the support unit and wrapped around the steel reinforcement to ensure it will stay in place. THE TIE BRICK® is 8’’ x 4’’ x 3’’ . The four support units can be used in various ways to provide a variety of heights and/or create extra stability when used for large diameter rebar.
